Coconut oil that has been distilled and redistilled to remove all solids is called fractionated coconut oil.  What remains is medium chain triglycerides that totally penetrate all layers of the skin. 

 

It is excellent for eczema, psoriasis, dry, rough or wrinkled skin. 

 

It is colorless and has no scent.

 

It remains liquid even at cold temperatures, unlike regular coconut oil that hardens at low temperatures.

 

It never goes rancid. 

 

The beneficial bacteria on the skin feed on the glycerol portion of the triglycerides and free up fatty acids which have antimicrobial properties. 

 

It is a very light oil that moisturizes, nourishes and protects the skin.

 

It is absorbed into the skin quickly and does not stain clothing.

 

Fractionated coconut oil is the best oil for transporting essential oils into the skin for aromatherapy purposes because it penetrates all layers of the skin.

 

It is available in the following 3 formulas:    

1. Unscented (nothing added but love)
    
2. with essential oil of neroli for its ability to generate healthy new skin cells and its scent of bitter orange blossoms.
    
3. Skin Synergy which contains essential oils of Bourbon geranium for its balancing effect on sebum, making it excellent for both oily and dry skin; plus a CO₂ extract of frankincense for its ability to combat wrinkles; and a CO₂ extract of sea buckthorn which contains a constituent of human skin fat called  palmitoleic acid, providing anti-wrinkle, skin softening and wound healing for all skin types.
